Accessibility Information
Many documents available through this application are submitted through third parties or have legal/historical
significance. Documents here are presented in their original fashion and therefore, may not fully comply with
accessibility standards.
Alternate accessible versions of documents can be made available, per request, to the County Clerk by emailing
countyclerkada@dutchessny.gov.
Examples of requests that can be fulfilled include:

Providing a complete transcript of a specified document's text. A transcript of a document will not
be accepted as a copy/certified copy of a document, and should only be used for an individual's comprehension
of a document.

Making the document more compatible with screen-readers.

Providing a version of a document with higher color contrast. This option may not be possible for some
historic documents.
While the County Clerk will attempt to meet individuals' accessibility needs, some requests may not be possible. For example:

Asking to remove the watermark from an "Unpaid/Unofficial" document.

Making scanned images more visually clear.
